QAD was established in 1995 and works extensively in the industrial process control environment, particularly in the fishing and wine industries.

At the end of 2002, after months of intensive research, tests and various prototypes, the intelligent auxiliary battery management system, BUSH POWER, was released. The key design feature of this system is an electronic controller that manages automatic switching between the vehicle’s battery and the auxiliary system. Since then various products and accessories have been supplied to the 4x4 industry in particular. Systems have also been implemented in rural environments such as missionary stations. More recently, they introduced a power pack based on the same concept to provide emergency backup power in the home or office during electrical power outages.

The BUSH POWER systems are manufactured at QAD’s workshop located in Kleinmond Industrial area. They also offer a professional vehicle installation service at these premises.

BUSH POWER products supply electricity where mains power is not available; temporary power supply outages occur; quality is poor; vehicles are stationary or moving
